There was music before Devo and then there was music after Devo. Music has never been the same since these guys started playing.

Interesting point you bring up about marketing ....it is a fact that the Sex Pistols album was just about that very thing. The album was called the Great Rock and Roll Swindle. Listen to the words and you will know what I mean.

Oh, I was raised on the sex pistols, ramones, the clash, X, New York Dolls, etc. I know all about it. The Sex Pistols were just the first in a long line of Malcom Mclaren's marketing schemes. The Great Rock & Roll swindle was hilarious (in action). They would tour the USA, sometimes playing 3 songs and leaving.
