Studying our students is studying ourselves. As mentors, we can offer challenging and fun study strategies and skills to help our students by applying the methods that have been taught to us and have worked for us personally. We can then use these skills to educate our peers. Getting a student motivated is always a challenge. Using techniques that take them from being passive learners to active learners is one way to encourage and open the doors of motivation. During this session study strategies and techniques will be demonstrated that I and my other peers use to encourage academic learning, to make active learners out of passive learners, and to offer solutions for creating or motivating students to become better. Knowing how to improve and encourage others helps mentors as well.

  • I like how in the beginning he said..."I like to sit down to bring myself down to your level." That is so nice to know that he is so far above everyone that he needs to bring himself down.
