@MrGoatwriter I worked for Mayflower transit for a year right out of high school (unigroup owns mayflower and united so we load each other and share agents) when they scale the truck thats just to make sure its legal, your not charged by what it weighs after we load it. if you remember a guy coming to your house and looking at everything with a little hand held computer THATS what charges you, he lists it all, the program estimates the weight and load time..and he charges you...the program is

If you follow your United truck to the scales, odds are he will bump the weight with fuel or helpers. They cheat on claims, inventory eerything as damaged and rarely pay a claim for damaged or missing goods. Google united cheats.
