Hey i have a us cellular htc desire and was wondering how i would flash it to verizon? any help would be appreciated

I had ported my cricket service to my HTC desire from Alltel.
I had everything working until my 3G stopped working. I'm not good with programming phones and I've looked up a bunch of tutorials to even help me port cricket over.
Can I recover my 3G signal? if so how?

Hey Derek!
I am pleased to report I have successfully ported my HTC Desire from Alltel over to Verizon Wireless with fully operational data (internet/email/web)! My only issues are a) MMS (no working) and b) slow data speeds with the current ROM/radio.
Other than that I've managed to do what most people thought impossible! I'll post a tutorial on XDA on EXACTLY what I did to get it all working. That will come shortly I promise!

@derekstaroba Good news man! I managed to flash my wife's HTC Desire to Verizon over the weekend!! Wooohoo! Now I just have to get data working and I'll be set. What I did was cloned the MEID/ESN from an old Motorola feature phone and called up Verizon to activate! Worked like a charm. Had to do some serious hacking though. Basically, you can get this phone to work on Sprint, you just need a spare phone with an ESN you can use. Let me know if you have any questions.
How did you load the PRL into the Desire? What tool did you use?

@Eloquescence just download the PRL you want to use from the net then transfer the file (by dragging) into your phone icon on your "My computer" screen. It should go into the SD card and then you will probably have to restart your phone then just press the secret dialing code (##775# I think might want to double check the blog article) and it should pull up as an option to install. You can actually switch back and forth between the PRL's also. It didn't work for me though so hopefully you lucky

Okay, found out something to convert the HTC Desire's ESN. Have you done that before? I am going to try it out, hopefully not brick the phone in the process, and I'll let you know how that goes. I am really thinking this is my last option. Luckily, we have another Verizon Android phone to use it's ESN/MEID and all that good stuff. Oh, by the way, what site did you go to create PRL?

@Eloquescence All of the programs I've seen to convert an esn are fraudulent. If you download one of them its a good chance you can get a virus.

Hey There,
Just got my Alltel desire today. Verizon is being stupid about it. They said something about checking my ESN and taking three business days to do it. I think I am going to have to hack the MEID for this phone and call them back. Any ideas on how to do that?

@Eloquescence hey thats not an easy thing to do. You should try filing a complain with the BBB first that usually gets their attention. You can file it out online it only takes about 10 minutes.
