Du Yémen, [les tribus de] Lakhm, de Judham et de Amila. [...] Hadramawt est meilleur que la tribu de Harith. Une tribu est meilleure qu'une autre, une autre pire [...] Mon Seigneur m'a ordonné de maudire les Qurayshites, et je les ai maudits. Alors il m'a ordonné de les bénir deux fois, et ainsi j'ai fait [...] Aslam et Ghifar, et leurs associés de Juhaina, sont meilleurs que Asad, Tamim, Ghatafan et Hawazin, au regard de Dieu au
Jour de la Résurrection [...] Les tribus les plus nombreuses au Paradis seront [les tribus yéménites de] Madhhij et Ma'kul » (Ahmad ibn Hanbal et al-Tabarni. Cité dans 'Alî ibn Abû Bakr al-Haythami, Majma' al-zawa'id wa manba' al-fawa'id [Le Caire, 1352], X, 43).

Rather,the best of men are the people of Yemen.
