Nice work. It's also fun to include some people in the mine trail. Note that the water beggers do not trip mines. If you get them just the right distance from stationary NPC's you can include them without risking them setting off the mines. A little extra carnage never hurts. Oh yea, Throw in a few plasma mines around some of the cars and have them go nuclear during the whole thing. There is so much fun to be had with explosives in this game.
