shock and awe worked also. now over a million civilians are dead in a country the size of california, and most of them women and children.

Yeah it just looks like McCain is catering to his far right supporters. Funny I thought mccain was the republican who just a few years ago was very critical of Bush's Iraq policies and now he promises to continue Bush policies on Iraq and tax breaks to the wealthy

well if the surge is working, then the republican notion that we need to sustain this troop level "up to 100 years" according to McCain is entirely backwards. If the surge is working we should be out of Iraq in the near future. You can't say it is working while commiting our troops to a war the country no longer will support. Get us out if there is success and leave rebuilding Iraqui infrastructure to Iraquis.

Here's an idea. Someone make t-shirts that say NOt Hillary on them and sell them or give them away for people to sport! Keep the NO in capital letters!

BAGHDAD: U.S. forces swooped into Sadr City, 8/8/07, killing 32 terrorists & detaining 12 others. The raid targeted terrorists who are known for facilitating transport of weapons & explosively formed penetrators, EFPs, from Iran to Iraq & bringing terrorists from Iraq into Iran for more terrorist training.

Democratic Sen. Hillary Clinton, made an appearance in New Hampshire regarding trying to cut and run & said, "We can't do it without Republican votes." Support Our Troops! SHE doesn't want to but WE MUST.

Troop surge! McCain is worse han Bush in my opinion. If we are gonna send troops into harms way, let it be for a reason. "It's probably not going to turn out exactly like we wanted it to". It turned out NOTHING like we we wanted it to, in Iraq or Aghganistan.

You make a good point. We need a healthy debate on this issue. Too much is at stake.
