Shadow Warrior: Dro vs Maligned - Map: Master Leep's Temple (Split Screen)

3D Realms released Shadow Warrior in May of 1997 which spawned a decent sized community on TEN (Total Entertainment Network) for some competitive Wang Bang (deathmatch) action.

Duke Nukem 3D was still the most popular and played out of the top three Build Engine games (Duke3D, Blood, and Shadow Warrior) on TEN and Kali, but Shadow Warrior had a growing collective of great players like - Nihilist, Robman, WangFu (Dro), Nemesis, Peruvian, Airbag, Sublime, Decisive, Blkrose, Riotlord... (to name a few).

When TEN closed its doors in circa 1999, most of the players scattered. That was a sad day.

Anyway, enough with the senior citizen stories! This was an entertaining game Dro and I played recently on the Master Leep's Temple map. The performance factor was kind of crappy in certain parts, but overall fun.

Officially our game lasted around 20 minutes, though I had to edit it down to 14 minutes due to capturing and rendering issues.

To play this online you can run the game using the SWP port by Proasm and downloading one of two front-ends, Meltdown or Yang (Yet Another Network Guider) to host a public or private game on the internet (we prefer to use Meltdown since the interface is more advanced and simple to use). @Iammram Amen to that, I used to play on TEN as well. There were several good players on that network. Nihilist, Airbag, Robman, Nemesis, Wangfu, Decisive.. (to name a few).

There are still a select few playing occasionally using the Meltdown client.

I played the shit out of this game online when TEN was out. Almost way to much actually. Datek9 was my in game name if i can remember correctly, was super awesome at this map and seppeku station. Both my top favs. I remember everyone of those dame names you listed. Including a few others like MarlboroMan and sUbLiMe. I miss this game lol.

I looked it up and downloaded it ( if it is the right one ) called Netplay?

Seems to be an exe file, I am now on a mac o_O

I was mostly on Duke Nukem3D, Shadow came later but I was heavily into Duke.
