@Shaehl they got rid of the monologue because it was cheesy and Gohan never actually said that. The majority of the dialog in the English dub isn't canonical and it's unofficial. FUNimation did Americans a favor and revised DBZ.

@LAKERFAN141 you should be thanking FUNimation for revising DBZ. To be a faithful experience with far better acting and getting rid of all the corny dialog to he more serious and faithful to the Japanese version. Gohan sounds like a chain smoker in this version.
