Brilliant !!!
Especially the very beginning, one would think that this was really an old TOTP performance...
Just take a look at the credits and you will find Godley and Creme :-)
By the way, back in the days there were many music videos with "distorted" sound, just look at Brian May "Starfleet" or Rolling Stones "Undercover Of The Night", everything that you see you would actually HEAR as well, seemed to me like the most common thing in the world back then ;-)

This is a fckn brilliant music video. It is way ahead of its time.
It is a playful comment upon music video making in an era when it was still possible to remember songs could make their way without the aid of videos.
These days its tits, ass, attitude, bling and dick waving.

Love this song, but I think this video might have actually hampered it: I cannot believe MTV would air this very much during the channel's heyday in 1985, as people would think that it would reflect on the channel's quality, and change channels.
Therefore it was only a top 15 hit and not a bigger hit. Which is a shame, cuz it's Howard's best song ever.
