every time she sings this (check 'em out, there must be a dozen kd lang doing Hallelujah), she does something amazing with the song...only Leonard Cohen's interpretation equals hers, out of all the versions I've seen on YouTube.

l love KD Lang as much as the next person but I think she's merely consistent here, and that Rufus Wainwright is at his very best with this song. Leonard Cohen gets points for writing it but both of them perform it better than he does.
