Berlin-based author Günter Pursch has collected the best bloopers, jokes and insults from 60 years of German parliamentary debates in a new book called Das Parlamentarische Schimpfbuch -- or in an English approximation, the book of parliamentary banter. All of the big names in German politics are included -- from the former chairman of the SPD parliamentary party Herbert Wehner through to present day chancellor Angela Merkel. We show footage of some of these historic blunders, and speak with the book's editor, politicians and linguists. And we also listen in on speeches held in the old East German legislature, the Volkskammer.
