Yes! That is very helpfull imformation. I would rather get some input from the gadgets Gurus like you instead of blindly spending $300+.

Example: If you are recording a TV show - will the program display the TV Show live, or do you have to currently be recording to see it live? In other words, when you go to record mode, can u use it as an LCD?
As far I know it records fine with NTCS and PAL without cropping. Also the A3 has recording settings that let you control what resulotion you want to record in, so I don't think theres gonna be a problem recording anamorphic 16:9. And if after recorded you can stretch the vid so it fits the screen of the A3. Dunno if it helps but anyways :)
Have you recorded TV (HD)/DVD output to it yet? I am curious how well that part of the A3 works. I am considering using the A3 as an extra camcorder monitor/ hard drive recorder for my video shoots.

Maybe it was just the video? The other one was in sync.
