This video is for the 2011 90-Second Newbery Film Festival, in which filmmakers are challenged to make movies that tell the entire story of a Newbery award winning book in a minute and a half:

This entry is done by CAST, a student theater group at Percy Julian Middle School in Oak Park, IL. The book is "Good Masters! Sweet Ladies! Voices From a Medieval Village" by Laura Amy Schlitz, which consists of 22 brief monologues based on characters from medieval times.
We noticed that many of the monologues in the book respond to and reflect on each other; sometimes they even sound kind of like those "confessional" monologues you see on reality TV shows. Therefore, this 90-Second Newbery is done in the style of a reality TV show: "Real Housewives of Good Masters! Sweet Ladies!" All the dialogue is taken word-for-word from the book, but remixed and recut in the reality TV style.

Well-done! This is great. I can't wait to show it to my students.
