Hulei derives from Zhaobao, not from Chen

Fabulous rooting. I love it

Mangojuice: I'd consider "normal" Chen style to be like what's practiced in Chen village (although I know there are variations there too).

i've heard of this type of taiji, just never SEEN it. looks real fast, even faster maybe than xingyi fajing. anyone out there care to share some info for the new guy? i'd be grateful.

No defensa?

Relationship between Zhaobao and ancient Chen Village tradition isn't clear. When above was written majority consensus was Zhaobao as an offshoot of Chen Village practice from around the 1500s. In recent years consensus leans a little more towards greater independence of the Zhabao tradition. As documented evidence does not seem extant it looks like we will never know for sure.
