I think some of the Japanese models are better. USA/Mexi Fender guitars tend to over route around the bridge pickup of a Jazz Bass on almost all models produced. The Japanese ones are much better on average.

@KevinFL Dude i got a Korean ML and the thing is the best guitar I've ever owned and i've owned over 23 guitars in my time as a guitarist sold and traded them all but i'll never get rid of that Korean ML, put it this way you can get ten models of the same exact guitar from any maker and not one of them will sound play or feel the same it's kinda like the luck of the draw, shit look at James Hetafield he wrote some of the best Metallica songs on a Gibson V knock off

@mrichman Not all Deans are made in the U.S. some Deans are made in korea,I have a Dean ML that's made in korea and the thing is very solid and my favorite of all the guitars that I have ever owned
