Kristen with GoodKnit Kisses takes you step by step in loom knitting her beach or shopping mesh bag. A link to the FREE pattern is below. This bag uses the largest round knifty knitter loom and 3 pegs of a spool loom or any small loom for an icord. She will show how to make the base in Part 1, the main body of the bag in Part 2, the icord in Part 3 and finish the bag in Part 4.

  • @ThatOneGirl985 that loom is perfect for adult hats or a smaller gauge flat panel versus the other circle looms. I do sell a newsboy pattern on Etsy for that loom though and have a visor video on YouTube for it as well. Have a great weekend! Happy Looming!

  • @ThatOneGirl985 in theory the cast on is one third the peg number so 16 should be good for you but you could try 18 to be more generous. The 30 rows I'm not sure about. It's more of what length you need to stretch across the entire loom. The width is to then stretch across the sides. I haven't tried that loom on the bag so this is just my guess on the fly. I hope that helps!

  • Would plarn work ok for this bag?

  • @dancergirl26 Sure!

  • Thank you for such great tutorials!!!

  • @sagehoney2000 thanks! -Kristen

  • @GoodKnitKisses I'll let you know how it turns out, thanks for your help. Your videos make it very easy to follow. I was given the loom as a gift and have not found many patterns for the round purple loom, so it'll be interesting to see what I come up with.

  • I have the 48 peg purple round loom, and I am wondering what differences in rows and initial e-wraps for the base would be. Do you have any suggestions? I tried to do sixteen pegs and 30 rows, but it just didn't seem right, so any help would be great.

  • I had been wanting to do something like this with wire. Thanks!

  • @GreyWolfEyes1222 Thanks for the help Piper! -Kristen
