Apple WWDC 2009 Keynote - Bertrand Serlet talks about Windows 7 and Snow Leopard

Bertrand Serlet makes fun of Windows 7, just like he did with Vista at WWDC 2006.

Furthermore he explains some of the new features and technologies in Snow Leopard.

Although Windows 7 is an improvement compared to the disaster called Vista, Microsoft itself admitted that Windows 7 is based on Vista, and therefore Bertrand Serlet is making some good points for Windows users to consider.

That's nonsense. If you start comparing, compare software to software, not software to hardware. But whatever, if you prefere separate buttons all over your laptop, well, that's your choice. Apple thinks different, and I'm happy they too. Compare the MacBooks design to a random Windows laptop on the market.

You're not getting it smartass. Yes, Snow Leopard is based on Leopard just like 7 is based on Windows Vista. He never denies any of that. But that's not the point. The point is that building on top of a strong foundation (Leopard) is good, but that building on top of a weak foundation (Vista) is NOT good. Do you get it now? Microsoft should start over, build something new instead of keep fixing their mistakes and calling it a "good" OS.

I love reading all these fanboys' (and girls') comments. Both operating systems have their ups and downs, neither is perfect! Matter of fact, both are far from perfect, but I still use and love both for what they can give me.

I dunno, since thats actually based from the browser. If for instance I go into task manager and kill my plugin-container process, It will display a plugin failure window just like that, all the rest of the windows function properly

hmmm.. so I have alot of issues with this video, for instance, he badmouths Windows so much, yet theres almost as many videos explaining how to get windows xp or 7 onto your macbook

That said, He didn't compare Safari's acid3 to the other 2 (Main) browser's acid's, just IE, Microsoft already knows Nobody really liked IE, and favored other browsers, they'd don't focus on getting that up.

@Sven88bac Indeed, Snow Leopard's Finder was completely REwritten in Cocoa and Mac OS X v.10.6 was made ready for 64-bit memory access and 64-bit technology. Windows 7, on the other hand, was just a facelift of Windows Vista.
