Bismillahi Ar-Rahmani Ar-Rahim

(As spelt in 1985 OIC/Organization of Islamic Conference official diary)

1. Because Kashmir issue is considered a sensitive issue by some parties, the names of the other 2 Speakers and Moderator as well as the venue have been deleted so as not to jeopardize their careers. As Zariani Abdul Rahman is a self-financed Independent Writer of books, it is alright for her to appear on IT. It was only after the 10 August 2007 Talk was over we found out that the questioners had handed in their written questions for the Q & A session instead of going to the microphone because they did not want their faces to be captured on video. The whole speech and Q & A session is from the original cassette tapes. Only the last 5 minutes of her speech were post recorded based on Zarianis original speech text as the cassette tape had stopped at that point. (On 4th Video - Part 4 at 4:10minutes)

2.Zariani was informed that each speaker was given 45 minutes to talk. After the Talk was over she was told that actually each speaker was given only 25 minutes so unwittingly Zariani spoke for 38 minutes. Some of the guests were from England, Central Asia, Japan, Indonesia, Africa etc. Zarianis sisters, Zarida and Zariati also attended the Talk.

3. Clarifications: The European journalist was a Dutch photographer Zariani met at Telephone Exchange, Srinagar, Kashmir on Monday 14 November 1994. The Indian lady journalist from Bangalore, India was Shamantha from the regional newspaper Madhura Nesara. Before she visited Jammu, she had already won an award for her reporting. Zariani met Shamantha at Dak Bungalow, Jammu, J & K State/Jammu & Kashmir State, India. The Assistant District Magistrate who was also tortured was from Seer, Kashmir.
One of the 3 UN VIPs who did not pass Zarianis Kashmir proposal to the then UN Secretary-General Kofi Annan in 2006 was Tan Sri Razali Ismail ex-UN Special Envoy To Myanmar, 51st President UNGA, Twice President UN Security Council.

4. Eid Fitri and Eid Adha prayers are special congregational prayers at the mosque to celebrate the end of Ramadhan/Fasting Month and Hajj for Muslims the world over.

God Bless, Assalamualaykum, Allah-u-Akbar, Allah-u-Akbar, Allah-u-Akbar
