ok guys, first of all, i have to say this : the end result couldve been better, but i really didnt have any patience, seeing all this shit lying around my 3 and a half appartment, minus 30 outside always windy (bad for spraypainting)..so anyways, this is what you do when you can't stand your ugly epiphone headstock anymore.
first step- buy a used epiphone on your local adds for 200$ then,
1- take a real gibson and draw the open book headstock contour
2-draw it on your ugly epiphone headstock
3-take whatever drill/dremell you have lying around and cut the exess wood
4-take some wood/metal files and handwork it till youre satisfied
5- sand the whole headstock with a sander (epiphone logos are not pearl engraved , theyre just thin plastic "stickers"
6-clean with alcohol to make sure all the wood dust is removed from headstock
7- apply a few coats of primer (i bought mine at some auto parts dealer) it dries fast, you can put 10 coats in 2 hours, then wait the next day
8-apply some spraypaint ( i did 5 coats all in the same evening) let dry one day
9-apply gibson logo or whatever logo you want
10- apply lacquer coats but dont make my mistake, dont stand in the wind, it will make waves in the laquer (its fixable with wetsanding but i didnt have patience, but then again any day i want, i can always fix it)....put as many coats as you want
11- wet sand the laquer (which i didnt do) when its slick enough, apply some wax and buff it to a shine.
if you dont want to put laquer, use shiny paint and use a silkscreen to apply the logo but i defenitely dont have patience for that arts and craft stuff.
wait a few days before puting back the tuning machines so the laquer really dries, or else it might crack . and always paint outside or well ventilated garage far away from windows and cars, that fume is very light and can fly away very far and stain stuff. wear a mask because this stuff is very strong i swear, even when sanding, laquer contains lead and you dont want to breathe that.
enjoy the music, all live slash solos, so WMG doesnt remove my sound,
to take these songs from youtube, find the song you like on youtube, copy the address, then go in google and write "youtube to mp3" click on the second one and paste the link. then you can easily take the part of the song you like with audacity, thanks
Where do you get the Gibson stickers?

I have a 60's Gibson bass except someone has taken the Gibson logo off the headstock. If I put a Gibson logo decal on it does that make it fake?

@alphermail haha if someone just peeled your logo, then your bass was already fake
