  • Watching this preview was so sad for me. It was the last time I'd watch a preview for the show and this preview meant there was only one left. Goddamn I already miss the show. It went out on top though and gave us five seasons of the most brilliant television ever created. In five hundred years the show will be studied and be part of college courses. Kids will write thesis papers on the show and how it dealt with the dark side of the American Dream and how it gave the under class a voice.

  • That Dukie situation really has me fucked up in the head right now...I've been asking for the longest; "why couldn't Dukie get that shot Namond?" Hell, why couldn't Randy or Michael get that shot? But than I thought of my own situation, how the cards were delt for me! The Wire is like a game of chess...I can't believe this was the final show. WTF am I going to watch now? Flavor of Love?lol

  • So true

  • mcnulty went out like bunny colvin, doin bad to do good. but bunny was right in all means, mcnulty been had that ego where its all about him.

  • Black actors/actresses have never had sole success in the industry unless they controlled their venue. Black folks should have bought BET from Robert Johnson and created a real broadcast network showcasing our talent. It is segregated but, we just have not be alloted a piece of the pie without making a way for ourselves. Eventually, this is the way things will wind up which is funny b/c that's what we fought against during the civil rights era. We've just never been respected or accepted. Wow!!

  • 'When you in it! YOU IN IT!!!!!!'

  • The shows' one big mistake was getting rid of Omar! BIG MISTAKE!!

  • you are completey right

i love it when people know how great this show is

  • I'm in school now getting my degree in education and we've spent a whole lotta time watching and discussing Season 4. So you are completely correct; students are writing thesis papers on this show.

This series blows them all away...it's genius. Absolutely.

  • 10 episodes was just not enough for the last season. You could tell there were still so many stories to be told and/or expanded on. It should've been about 14 episodes.

  • true dat jwhiteU. Marlo was feared. Fear does not command respect. I thot Omar was feared, but he was respected. Avon was respected. Marlo never had the closure he wanted so what's the first thing he does....runs back to the corner. Mentally he cannot rise above the corner.
