Horn Etude #3

This is number 77 from the 335 etudes book.
I have performed it here at Half=144. I believe this is a more true interpretation of the marking Allegro Vivace. For auditioning purposes, I would suggest performing it somewhere about halfway between what I've done here, and the top prescribed tempo. Please use your best judgement. Remember, no judge will be impressed by sloppy playing, no matter how fast.

  • omg.... i dont play a brass, let alone french horn, but those pedal tones were SEXXYYYYYY!!!!!!!!!! i play bass clarinet.

    Just try a bunch and play the one you like. Its a very personalized thing.
