  • @crackshotnoodles You can still clip channels like any other desk but you cant clip the desk digitally

  • theres new floating point software for the latest Digico consoles...its not possible to clip channels now!

  • 2 people can lift a D5, I do it all the time! You need the balls of a geordie, but it's more than 120 kilo's lighter than a Heritage 3000 with cables in the back! (which has less than half the channels) and yes, I have used 120 channels into a D5 on a show!

  • try an old ramsa those are heavy!!!!

  • its a very goood desk , but i like more analog mixers

  • I've mixed in that room before! It has been designed with 'special standing waves' between 80hz and 125hz, to 'enhance' the listening experience, and completely destroy your mix... and reputation...

  • Damn that trumpet is off key, even a D5 can´t cover that up!

  • I have seen it lifted up to a second flor of an office with two people. Admittedly it was very funny! As you couldnt get more than 2 people up the stairs!!

  • Oh I agree with Analog Vs Digital, but the fewest people I've seen flip a D5 onto an EZ tilt is like 6.....

  • you can lift it with 2 people. An analogue desk with that many channels would need about 6 people to lift it! never mind the amount af analogue gear you would need to have a graphic eq, a gate, a compressor and reverb etc on every channel!
