This song was written by Gerry Goffin and Carole King and originally recorded by the Drifters in 1962 making it famous by reaching #5 in the Billboard Hot 100 charts. Another well known version of the song was recorded by James Taylor in 1979.

This video was recorded at the first ever Uke W - Ukulele Jam on Sunday, January 22, 2012. For many of the members of the group, this was the first evening they had ever sung this song before. This song has been tentatively chosen as the group's warm-up/theme song to be played at the beginning of every jam.

Uke W is an official Federation of Students club at the University of Waterloo, in Waterloo, Ontario, Canada. We get together once a week to play and sing using our ukuleles. For more information, please visit our website: http://sites.google.com/site/UkeWaterloo/

  • @Bryantmah I noticed your mid-song ukulele/tambourine swap! Now that you've got your own ukulele you won't need to do that!
