  • Yes, the motor sounds fine but they need to make it a 2000H elevator.

  • Actually, it's holeless and it works just fine, except for some inspections and LED relamping of the signal fixtures.

  • Yes, this elevator needs some work on it, but to keep up with the slogans, Otis should discontinue hydraulics, and only make tractions, just like Kone.

  • @CaptainElevator42189 Their hydraulics are better now. No need of that.

  • Well, they are good quality, but the older ones are better quality, since I like vintage elevators a lot.

  • How interesting, maybe it was replaced as a result of ADA & code requirements.

  • I like the motor noise, but this elevator is in dire need of service.

It is amazing how the hydraulic elevators from Otis from that era are so bad, even when Otis's motto is "All Safe" and "First In Service".

I would actually like to see those slogans be put to use.

  • the bell in this video is what the one at macys in Century III mall used to sound like but it was modernized

  • I know the motor sounds good, but I think they should use LED signal fixtures, and new guide rails. Also, you can hear the lantern resonate in the distance, even when the door is fully open.

  • the chime is weird on these old otis its one of the first that is no an actuall bell the indector needs to have the light replaced I think the rails are loose in the shaft thats why its bumpy the motor sounds good for its age
