One Ocean: Bill Hill

This was the song playing as demonstrators joined hands by the ocean in the Hands Across The Sand event at Hanalei on the island of Kauai on Saturday June 26.
There's only one Ocean. We call parts of it "Atlantic", or "Pacific" - or "Gulf of Mexico". But they're all joined, and what we do to one part of the Ocean affects all of it. The dolphins and humpbacks don't care what names we humans use. To them, there has always been only One Ocean, and they go wherever they want.
This video features the track "One Ocean" from my forthcoming CD, "Dancing With The Dragon". The idea for the song came as I was paddling out to my local surfbreak one day.
A few weeks after I'd finished recording the CD, the BP Gulf Oil Disaster happened. And that's what made me create this video. I recorded the StandUp Paddleboard surfing sequences and all the underwater sequences in Hanalei Bay, Kauai. It's time we ended our dependence on oil and prevented disasters like this from ever happening again.
