  • How is it against IEDs?

  • It uses a V-shaped hull to defeat the IED. Watch the both parts of my humvee replacement stories and you'll understand.

  • @Aaidas2

The USMC does use the M-ATV, but they were looking for a HMMWV replacement. The CTV/JLTV program was the replacement for the light vehicles. The M-ATV is part of the MRAP program and heavier than what the USMC was seeking. They wanted a light armored vehicle that could still be sling loaded into remote areas with their Marines. As of now, the JLTV program has been cut.

  • @christophersonawane It is, but the money/time they spend outfitting and training soldiers for war it's worth it. One IED can kill a squad of Marines. If this vehicle can save them, it saves money for the Government. I hate how soldiers lives really matter to the government in numbers but hey, this will save a lot more of them. My buddy overseas loves his M-ATV which became the replacement instead of the CTV

  • dont you guys think its gonna cost way more than the humvee ?

  • he's right :)

  • That looks like something only a baddie would drive.

  • i know you wear a cover when your outside!!! :P

  • USMC not using MATV?

  • @MrFlylice Military tactics, an action or strategy carefully planned to achieve a specific end. The dictionary doesn't lie. Besides I wasn't criticizing it if I didn't knew what it meant at first. Also I already knew the difference between tactical (precision) and strategic bombing.

  • @TheShinraCorp Tactical refers to small-scale operations, as opposed to Strategic, which is large-scale.

A tactical nuke is one used for a specific, battlefield purpose. A strategic nuke is one used simply to devastate the target's infrastructure.

A tactical air strike is one with a small-scale intention. Strategic air strikes, otherwise known as strategic bombing, is what the Allies did to Germany in WWII when they blew apart their factories.

    Learn terminology before criticizing it.

  • this is pretty impressive
