  • I def agree with you. Everyone should find a style that they are most comfortable with. Timmy is also very athletic so he can do what he can do. You can't copy Timmy's style and think you will have the same result. You can take certain things from his delivery, but you should deliver in whatever way you're comfortable.

  • alot of people think hes gunna get injured because of his wierd delivery.

  • i think that the reason pitchers like lincecum are dominating is the fact that he has found a delivery that he can repeat, over and over again. another pitcher that comes to mind is krod. both have very violent deliveries that work for them because they are able to repeat it. when looking for a certain type of delivery i do agree with you because alot of hall of famers could not repeat lincecumsdelivery, they all have thier own.

  • very smart , i like that

  • but he cant use the same form

  • if chris young of the padres had the same exact form he would throw 120MPH... okay maybe not 120 but it would be up there.

  • I agree with you; I've made my whole life in learning this way. My slapshot comes from a friend, I'm making my delivery from Lincecum. As I wrote higher, You have to find the way that suits your body. I wouldn't say athletic person, but flexible. Here, unflexible person would jam their back on first try.

  • There is absolutly no way someone can copy a mouvement, but you can do something in same style. He didn't used the right words I think. Paul aside, Tim is unique, but every pitcher can use his pattern. And he did "copied" his delivery: his father and uncle mad it up and they first showed it to his older bro, so he took it from his family.

I think the best way to get sucess is to learn by imitation: watching you and someone like you(a pro), adjusting moves. Then adapt it to your body.

  • it makes sense cuz everybody body is differnt. i think if u try hard tho u can force it into ur system.
