I'm in college right now and am trying to decide between U.S. Marshells and the ISP. My biggest deciding point is does the ISP have a TRT team or no? I have seen no videos or evidence of them having one, but people have told me they do. If you could clear this up it would be greatly helpful thank you.

hey good luck to your plans, of course does the isp have a tactical team it is called "NIPAS" --> Northern Illinois Police Alarm System it is like any other swat.

@fenceposter yes they are specialist units like juvenile officers they are ISP officers just with a little extra responsibility and training

I don't recall exactly off the top of my head, but it's pretty intense. Something like 60 situps in a minute, 100 pushups, etc. After graduating from the ISP Academy you would probably be in shape and be able to qualify, but after a few years being on the road it might be more difficult unless you were a "musclehead" sort of person who enjoys working out.

Not quite accurate. ISP's TRT Teams are made up of ISP officers. When they have a call out, they notify the team members who respond from wherever they are. Of course, the ISP TRT teams train with the local SWAT teams as well.

@fenceposter I know that your post is pretty old, but I was wondering if you knew what the physical fitness requirements are of the TRT team? I'm currently in college and I can do the basic physical fitness test no problem, but I want to be the best and I know TRT does the fun stuff lol.
