@kyledavis75 no he didn't he called him out on the overslide watch again. he does not call it till the player overslides.
-
he went off the bag when he slide he is out.
-
Safe...but its ST who cares.
-
i think hes safe
-
I got a ? Who cares its freaking spring training! Yea he was safe but dang. To all of u uneducated baseball ppl on here who said they called it on the "overslide" the umpire called him out b4 he even came close to comin off the base retards
-
the throw beats him!...close call
-
I would trust the Ump's opinion on this (I'm guessing he called it on an overslide). We can't see from this angle and distance if the foot ever left the base, but it's definitely plausible.
-
@critter2 that is my judgement and its final.
-
@critter2 No, it doesn't.
-
he is out his foot comes off.
I think hes out because his hand comes off the bag and the tag is applied the....so i think he's out.

@jfab113. In my opinion Jason is safe because his body already touched the bag before Zimmerman made the tag and Jason's foot was still on the bag.
If you're an umpire you don't say "I think" you have to state it in a more confident manner to show the coach(es) in the other dugout(s) that you had formed an opinion on what you clearly saw.

I really love your opinions you guys/gals. I personally think Heyward is safe because Ryan didn't put the tag down in time to block him off at 3B. But you guys should try umpiring for fun.
