  • @MrVolkerschmitz you're bloody right there. It's the piece worth listening at least as such as arguing about;-) And whatever side this piece is on - Jazz or Flamenco - they are not any way opposite sides :-). Have fun playing music too. I'm better in piano than guitar I'm afraid...

  • And bye the way. I dont care if we call it flamencojazz or jazzflamenco or fusion or flamenco with jazzy chords. What i care about is that i love all these kinds of styles as long as they sound so beautyfully like in this case. Of coarse it is jazz influenced. You may read my first coment again.I only meant that is more on the side of flamenco than jazz if u want to measure it. Have fun playin music :-)

  • @MrVolkerschmitz It's not about the chords, but about the music itself. Giving new chords and instruments to flamenco doesn't make it jazz you say. I'd say that you hardly understand jazz! Jazz it's not the genre, but the WAY of playing music, the way of harmonics met rythm, the way you coming to creating the music. This Is the Jazz, - no materr if intended. Oye como vienne by chano DOminguez is more flamenco than thin, and this is also Jazz.

  • @vincent4500 When u listen to the bass and the caja u can hear that they dont play laid back, but typically flamenco like with pulling the rhythym or draging it.. And they dont play any jazz standart. The only thing he does is to use some different chords, wich should be ok after the chief PdL was doing it. So it is more on the side of flamenco than jazz. Flamenco is rhythym and a feeling and improvisation. So it is good to conect it with different chords. But new chords dont make it jazz.

  • @vincent4500 : C'mon. It's your personal taste, isn't it? It's MUSIC in all

LINES. If you don't like it Ok. But for what you need to say it's crap. And what

is the "fundamental feel" ??? It's Gerardos feeling. Who defines the lines, and

why is it silly to mix styles? You really don't need to answer. My questions are more rethorical. But I gice you one plus that you were honest about the brilliance.

  • there is a line where jazz in flamenco is too much...this has crossed that line..its just silly to mix so much laid back jazz styling with flamenco..you lose the fundamental feel...this is just crap, and Gerardo is a brilliant guitarist...so many, incl.tomatito who is my favourite are crossing the line too far...very sad!

  • Wow, that is awesome!

  • vaya figuras que compone. Gerardo tiene una musicalidad asombrosa y muy buen gusto componiendo.

  • Olé, qué grande es!!

  • wauuuuuuuuuu bravoooooooooooooo fantastico
