Chris Packham's brilliant use of Smiths song titles in this year's Springwatch.
Episode 1) Hand In Glove
2) What Difference Does It Make
3) Handsome Devil
4) Frankly Mr Shankly
5) You Just Haven't Earned It Yet Baby
6) Vicar In A Tutu
7) Bigmouth Strikes Again
8) The Queen Is Dead
9) Stop Me If You've Heard This One Before
10) Still Ill,
Sweet And Tender Hooligan,
Oscillate Wildly,
Last Night I Dreamt That Somebody Loved Me,
This Charming Man.
11) Ask,
Well I wonder,
Asleep,
Cemetery gates,
Nowhere Fast,
Please Please Please Let Me Get What I Want,
Fantastic Bird (Morrissey song),
Unloveable,
Sheila Take A Bow,
I Know It's Over.
12) William, It Was Really Nothing,
I Started Something I Couldn't Finish,
Paint a Vulgar Picture,
These Things Take Time,
Headmaster Ritual,
Is It Really So Strange?,
Girlfriend in a Coma (by Kate),
Some Girls Are Bigger Than Others.
I know the sound gets a bit choppy and is probably too quiet, and the cuts aren't pristine but it was the quickest, least stressy way of ripping. Enjoy!
Much respect to Mr. Packham!

Stop me if you think you've heard this one before but lets not panic here, so what difference does it make if he's infliltrating song titles? It's just something you'll have to accept yourself.
People are having a go but If this charming man, this handsome devil wants to do this then, well I wonder if theres really a problem. but what do I know, people are saying he should stop now, but how soon is now? i think he should keep going until this joke isn't funny anymore!

I consider myself an observant bloke, a MASSIVE Smiths fan and a fairly keen audience member of the BBC's natural history programmes, but THIS had somehow eluded me...this spot Sir. Then again, is it really so strange...?

Basically these programs are informative but deadly boring to do. How interested can you be in two birds in a nest so his mind is obviously more focused on the Smiths.

That's from an interview with all 3 presenters in The Guardian. Available on their web site at: /tv-and-radio/2011/may/17/springwatch-presenters-send-rude-texts.
Try to stick with facts next time, instead of gossiping about poorly-informed rumours.

Packham would probably demand a scientific explanation for the presenters' chemistry but Humble sensibly concludes it is because all 3 are proper friends. Both Packham and Hughes-Games are coming to her husband's 50th birthday party in a few weeks. "We are genuinely mates. We hang out, we talk, we send each other rude texts," she says. "When the programme is very spontaneous it helps when you know what sparks each other off. It's not to say we don't disagree or argue but that's what mates do."
