I think this is absolutly brilliant, it brings back a sence of humour which i think springwatch should have, its a friendly show and chris hasd just personalised it that little bit more ;)

Obviously for Autumnwatch he has been told to just do his job and present a wildlife show which is all 99% of viewers need expect to do

Presumably T4 turned down his application for a wild and wacky music presenter with his own irrelevant agenda!

I love the Smiths, and know every title reference here. But, yes, it's annoying and inappropriate. It makes you not pay attention to to the what is being said, just keep waiting for the next reference.

Although one or two would have been jolly.
