Yes, there are similarities between Spanish and Ladino, but there are also differences. I would have a hard time trying to speak with someone speaking Ladino. Regards...

@samsk66 not to say that you don't know what you're saying, or that you're wrong, because I'm not expert, but...Ladino is essentially Spanish, except certain words are different. That sounds quite a bit like Ladino to me. I'm pretty sure that the poster of this home video would know the difference as well. Just my two cents.
