This is Old Joe Clark, an excellent old bluegrass/fiddle tune played in A. It is played 3 times here each a little different.

  • thats really good.. like to have a tab for if you got one....

  • really!! Thanks!!!

  • Also I *think* he's using the Monroe method which entails a lot more movement of the right hand with the pick. In essence, he's doubling up everything he's playing. Just pick the individual strings.

  • Pix:

I'm a beginner and this song was just thrust onto me at an annual mandolin camp here in Mass. MandoSteve is playing rather fast for you and me, but this song can be played slowly and learned more easily than you might guess.

  • aaa this guys a pro!!! any1 no any good songs 4 begginners??

  • that would be a Collings mandolin

  • Good stuff. Your mandolin really looks nice. What is it?
