http://www.fillmorepedal.com This is a blues rock of the old school using a new guitar I just got yesterday, a 1992 Peavey Predator "made in U.S.A" Stratocaster. This is in the Robin Trower, Jeff Beck, Pink Floyd vein.

Tempo is 64 beats per minute.

Believe it or not I never played a Stratocaster type guitar until I bought this one yesterday, except maybe play a friends for a few minutes. This is a really nice guitar.

I built all the guitar effects myself and there are quite a few used on this recording. There are no digital effects or any of that modelling crap or EQ though, all the guitar sounds are just as it came out of the guitar amp, which is a 1973 Peavey theClassic 50 watt tube amplifier. I added no EQ in the recording studio either.

  • Turns out I enjoy playing this guitar as much as any other that I have, or have tried in stores. Really as good as anything out there. It cracks me up how little I paid for it!

  • Check out my newest video Summer Boogie '09 on my channel page, I use the Predator guitar on that one too.

    Bill

  • Any mods to the Predator? Just got one myself!

  • Nope, the Peavey Predator guitar is all original, 100% stock. All I did was set up the action, tilt neck adjustment and pickup height. Sure is a nice sounding guitar I think they sound just as nice as most Stratocasters. I only paid $112 for it haha.

  • Are you a professional musician?

(if not, you definately could be)

  • Thanks for the kind words! I am an amateur musician. I used to play semi-professionally but man it is a hard life and many bad endings are possible. So I play in the studio only now! Thanks for listening!

  • sounds like u step on a cats tail..honestly..i play guitar since i was nine, and i respect others opinions but this is such a pathetic pile of crap..aout of tune wrong scales..but if he has fun..ok

I wont even let him play in my band

  • I got one of these too. One simple cheap mod, installed a graphtech Black Tusq self lubricating nut. Not only more resonant now, but can't make it go out of tune no matter how much I bang on it, And that's even with the original tuners! This guitar sounds and plays as good as my USA Fender Strat!

  • Thanks for the confidence boost!
