Brothers and Sisters of USW 6500

Following the International & Community Support Rally @ the Sudbury Arena on Sept.19th 2009 numerous International guests from around the world made a very special stop to Show their Support to your fellow Brothers & Sisters holding strong at the Claribelle Mine Rd. Picket Line. Where the Day (scabs) trucks were now sitting unattended. These guests and those present on the line were also blessed to hear a debut rap performed by one of your very own Strong USW 6500 members Mike "OB" O'Brien.

Arturo Henrique da Silva Santos, President of CUT (Largest trade union in Brazil) (Brazil)

Jorge Campos, International Affairs Secretary for Vale Union Network (network of workers internationally that work for Vale), and General Secretary, Sindimina (Brazilian mineworkers) (Brazil)

Jyki Raina, General Secretary of IMF (Intl federation of over 200 unions of metalworkers) (Geneva, Switzerland)

Edwardo Pinto, President STEFEM (Brazilian railway workers) and member of Vale Board of Directors (Brazil)

Paul Talbot, Assistant General Secretary, Unite (Britains largest labour union w/ over 2million members) (UK)

You are not only fighting for a FAIR DEAL NOW yet for all of those employed by Vale all over the world. Stay Strong and find comfort and strength in knowing that Sudbury Supports Our Working Families and so do OVER 168 MILLION other union members from around the world.
