The problem is getting that 14-mm allen key to put it together. Not a lot of tool shops stock these. The other hindrence is the so called safety hatch. Quite often it doesn't come by dafault with the BB-cups set.
Nah, he's only chasing the threads, not cutting them, and he's only removing paint when facing BB shell and shaving a little bit of metal to parallel the faces but not much.
What I don't get is why doesn't he lube the DS BB cup when installing the crankarms, he does on the NDS.
Nice thing about the super record is you don't even need lube for the cult bearings. Campy says to use a light oil only to keep em' quiet (they are impervious to corrosion). Smoothest setup I ever had.
same system as fulcrum

Very helpful, about to install this on my bike this weekend. Not sure why the NDS was lubed additionally though.

what are those parts inside for? Don't you just need the two bb cups with the spring, and the arms? Sorry, I don't know...

is this just for the 11-speed? some narration would be good, what is all that prep work he's doing?

Now I know, he lubed the NDS for the wave-washer. Simple enough...
