There's a verse early in the creation myth in the book of Genesis. It's clearly written from the perspective of a man sitting on the Earth's surface and looking upward. It appears when you look up in the sky that the sun revolves around the earth which confused the bible writers. Of course they still believe it was written by God and partially lost in translation. I would quote the verse but I don't want to get my fingers dirty with the pages, I even hate the smell of the damned thing.

The actress who portrays Mary, I heard, was pregnant at the time the film was made. You could see a true response as the mother of Christ because of that, I feel.
The setting for the film was in Matera, a small city in the Basilicata with a "Sassi district," dwellings scooped out of rock cliffs/caves centuries ago, so that it could look like ancient Israel. A UNESCO site, I believe. I visited this city in 2005. Customs remain much the same today as practiced my grandmother.

That's so true! Also, Jim Caviezel, while on the cross during that scene, got struck by lightning at one crucial moment during that shoot. I'm so glad there are people like you that have a voice.
