@angela1894 First of all it is a PIECE not a song. This was a very nice interpretation and who cares if there are a couple of mistakes? We don't have to play up to the 'asian standard' (having no mistakes) This is a very hard piece to play, I would bet you couldn't even begin to try...

@V1C2 That approach to music is what I'm referring to. If you go into music with the notion it's a puzzle to solve, you're only playing games with yourself, with arbitrary rules of your choosing. Life's too short for abstraction; just enjoy it all! Here, Ravel was just painting musical portraits of his friends, the way a painter like David Hockney would, but as a composer. This is one of the worst, and most unpolished renditions of this song that I've ever heard. You need a LOT more practice, and you don't get a pass because you're black. This is terrible.
