This clip is from our series "Interview with Dr. Walter Martin on Cults". This clip answers the question: Does Acts 2:37,38 teach a person must be baptized in order to be saved? Is the Church of Christ right or wrong in teaching that you must be baptized in order to be saved? Do you have to repent, be baptized, and receive the gift of the Holy Spirit in order to be saved?

  • person have to be baptized to be saved?

  • you are full of shit

  • @vampirehunter33 well actually the Theif on the cross was a unique expierience as he was saved before Jesus was even resurrected. Now as a Catholic, I believe in baptism of desire because the gospel is not based on legalism but on the love of Jesus Chist

  • Jesus said unless a person be born of the water & the Spirit they can't see the kingdom of heaven.

He that believeth & is baptised shalll be saved, . Can aperson fall 5 fstories and survive, maybe, but I wouldn't like to try it

  • @07braves No...someone who believes in Christ and dies w/o being baptized, can still see salvation. That's the reason LDS believe in proxy ordinances for the dead (baptism, marriage, etc.). Everyone who has ever lived, or will ever live, on the earth will have a fair chance to accept or reject the proxy work done in their behalf.

  • @JediLDS the church of christ beleives that without immersion u will burn in hell.

  • @JediLDS the people that spoke in tounges in the house of cornelius werent baptised, but were saved,,how??they spoke in tounges,,only saved people do that.
