A collection of clips from an afternoon spent along the Leland river with a circulating formation of what some folks call 'frazil pan', 'pancake', 'lily pads of' ice ... by any name, they are a temporary phenomenon to be enjoyed in the moment.

  • I truly enjoyed every bit of this amazing creation - both yours and Mother Nature's! I am always in awe of your creative sense. Keep up the great work.

  • @webqueen1 thanks Stacy!

  • I liked Dave Ussells' comment, it said what I felt watching this video. Ken has a gift for photography. I never realized that time lapse could produce such an array of beauty, from the clouds in motion and the changing light and colors to the dance of the pancake ice topped off with that serene piano music. Thankyou for posting this. Sincerely

  • @MrTimguitarman ... thanks Mr.Tim ...

it's even better being 'out there'

    collecting the material ; ]

  • Love the part when you take us on the POV of the floating pancake. Creative and daring not to lose your camera.

  • @AirSpace yeah ... I did a little freakout dance when it(the camera) rounded the bend and was out of reach ... but it was too cool an opportunity to pass up : ]

  • Great one Ken, loved the ice-cam!

  • @DaveUssell ack! the link won't work in comments, but it is in the "show more" info box under the movie. The title is: Sovereign ...

Glad you enjoyed, thanks for the note!

  • @lucychevon thanks for stopping by ... the pancakes were a first for me too. A real visual treat!

  • A delightful little dance of nature to give pause; to delight the soul, titillate the imagination, appreciate the diversity of things, to dwell on the serendipitous and fascinate the mind with the beauty of simplicity. It helped me relax for a moment, open my mind and enjoy the dance of the pancake ice. Pray tell Ken, what is the name of the Kevin MacLeod piece you've matched so well to the dance? Thanks for the respite.
