What you said in he end about picking up your Bible and reading a scripture was the best advice I've heard any hair guru say :) You are speaking truth young lady and I gotta say that it is refreshing :) Kp up the great work :) God bless you :)

Thx for including a list of potentially harmful ingredients found in some hair gels!

Hi! Do u ever do wash and gos? And if so what products do u use?
-
@princessKayification i use kinky curly curling custard. here are the ingrediants:
Ingredients: botanical infusion of water, horsetail, chamomile, nettle and marshmallow, organic aloe vera juice, agave nectar extract, tocopheryl acetate (vitamin e), pectic, citric acid, potassium sorbate and natural fragrance

I use it on my sides because I have a short hairsyle (short on the sides long on the top) but never on the top i only use hair oil on the top and a flat iron once a week after i wash it

I really love the part in your video when you said reading a scripture will help you feel better, you are so right!! And you have very beautiful hair!

omg im so glad that you did this video. i have been natural "again" for a year now and i never use heat ! i do alot of roller sets and thats it! But i noticed so much breakage! I was wondering if it was the gel or the rollers. I make sure it has no alcohol but i still feel that it is damaging my hair. now i switched to the eco styler because it doesnt leave my hair rock hard. is there anyone else that has noticed breakage with roller or rod sets???

ok so i bought some aloe vera gel but it says its for skin... is there a different one for hair or is this more of an allpurpose type pruduct
-
We're definitely eye to eye about that gel usage - I stay away from it.

I've never been a big gel fan...I used to hate it back in the day. Ecostyler gel is not natural, there are some not so good ingredients in it. Amen we need the Word of God. Thank you for that mention.
there's ecostyler, aloe vera gel and flaxseed gel..they're not too harmful :) and the last 2 are all natural

@saRob0304 I'm not a fan of the ecostyler but I would recommend the other two b/c they are all natural. I must add, just b/c a product is all natural it does not mean that it is necessarily good for your hair. I have used some natural shampoos and conditioners that have dried my hair out and made it feel stiff. So my suggestion to everyone is to try different products and see which ones your hair reacts the best too.

I love my DIY Flaxseed Gel and the Kinky Curly Curling Custard. They're both organic/vegan - do not contain any of the chemicals listed above. I use either or or in conjunction with the Kinky Curly Knot Today. I've used it consistently for over a year and my hair is healthy. Nice video! I use to use regular, over the counter gels before, I didn't really understand that the ingredients were harmful - now I do.

@CCNYCA Those are good options. All natural gels are the best including aloe vera gel.

I just reviewed the ingredients on the gels I have: IC Fantasia Hard to Hold (Pink), Eco Styler Olive Oil, & La Bella Lots of Curls(my fav) & La Bella Max hold. La Bella & Eco have 2 or more harsh ingredients. The IC Fantasia only has one, Polysorbate-20 - which ALL of them contain. Oh well, I guess IC will be the winner until I find something more pure. Maybe I'll try to whip up a batch of flax seed gel & see if my hair responds well. Dayum man, good gel is a big styling aid for me. :(

@1FlySista Try aloe vera gel. Natural gels are the best. If you go to iherb.com or vitacost.com or a Whole Foods, you can find many options for natural gels.
