  • It's too annoying for me to be in a room with that many obnoxious people to hear like, 5 older HIM songs that I actually like -_- their last couple of albums have not suited my tastes at all... As far as the 69 Eyes, god, I hope it isn't bad. This has actually been my favorite album of theirs, it's going back to their old sound (Motor City Resurrection was my favorite album before). But the new video is awful.

I am very rarely on topic, you'll find. But it's my video, so we can be offtopic ;)

  • Haha, I just fight my way to the front and rock out against the barrier at HIM shows. And I'm scared to go to a 69 Eyes concert now, considering the awful influx I fear may have happened from involving Benji Madden in a video. That whole song is just... ugh. Dead Girls Are Easy wasn't too bad, even the vid had a cheesy sort of charm, to an extent, but just ugh at the new one.

But yeah, I'm gonna stop taking this vid offtopic. This is a great interview, honestly. They just seem so at ease.

  • Those kids are why I don't go to HIM shows anymore, LOL. At least The 69 Eyes aren't too bad, they tend to attract more of a goth element and not the posers so much... but with them putting Bam in their videos now...

    I agree.

  • Which really does suck for those of us who loved them for what they were. =/

Oh, no. I've been trying not to think about that part. Those kids drive me crazy. They never seem to be there just to enjoy the concerts- I don't even know *why* most of them come. It's like, don't bother going to a show if you just want it as a notch on your belt, or if you just wanna scream about how ~$3Xii~ the band is.

I'm not saying they're not sexy(I'd be lying), but that's not what concerts are about.

  • yeah, it seems like Finnish bands have to sell their souls to come to America.

Worst case... like the concerts are flooded with all the little 15 year old hot topic kids... Think about everything that has changed about HIM since they came to the US. Alllllll of that happening to Negative is my worst nightmare.

  • Oh God. I think what he did to The 69 Eyes is the worst. Dead and Gone. *shudders*

Worst case? How do you mean?

  • Ugh, don't remind me. If Bam does with them like he did with HIM and the 69 Eyes I will vomit XD

Now I am curious to know how many US fans there are!!

I really don't want Negative to be compared with HIM or have anything to do with HIM. HIM is like... what I picture as the worst case scenario for what happens if NGT comes to America.

  • Well, a number of them might be Bam converts- In My Heaven was on the Viva La Bands CD after all. (And good thing it was, made it easy for me to nab that song on iTunes. :D)

But I definitely don't think that *all* 981 members are US based. Which sucks, because I *definitely* don't need to tell you how amazing they are.

And honestly, I love HIM, but am I the only one who gets sick of the people who compare the two?

  • yeah, see, somehow I just don't believe there are that many US fans. I have been running into a lot of them lately, and a lot that have been fans for a WHILE, but I still can't believe that there are almost a thousand of them. It's not really easy to come across it, you have to travel in the Finnband circles to like them, and I dunno... I just question there being that many. I totallllllllly could be wrong, but... I would estimate our numbers at under 500 for sure...

  • I'd just like to put out there that the official US street team on myspace has about 981 members- but I don't think I have the energy to go through all of those profiles to make sure they're all actually American. xD

Also, as I type this is sit (un)comfortably in my basement in the state of New York, and I've also been a fan for just about 6 years. =]
