Incidentally, when I was in High School, girls were also prohibited from wearing "heels". As they should have been. Ask any podiatrist, they are not good for feet - male or female. Probably worse on a males feet, with the higher center of gravity males have.
Ironically, many schools have "crossdress days" where boys & girls are ENCOURAGED to dress out of gender, in some kind of effort to develop sensitivity to how others have to deal with clothes & whatever.
Isn't Seattle where Utilikilts (unbifurcated garments for men) are made? And isn't Seattle supposed to be a progressive, open-minded city?
There shouldn't be a rule against boys dressing as girls. The opposite happens a lot and it's not as controversial. I have two daughters and a son and they "dress to express", gender ID be damned. Curiosity doesn't kill, it makes you stronger.
This isn't right of the school to do this. It's the 21st century guys. :/

I've worn 6 inch heels all day at my high school, and the teachers haven't said anything to me. And I live in Texas!
