It's been years since I watched the anime, but I remember thinking it was alright (and I was absolutely in love with Arcueid). Then after starting to play the game it soon became clear that the anime wasn't nowhere as complex and vast (of course). But imo the anime wasn't that bad, but the game was stellar

My only problem with the anime is that it's not gory enough and fucked up the battle scenes; like the one with chaos. I haven't read much of the novel but, the manga was what hooked me. Eveytime shiki-badass-nanaya came out I was cheering for some flying chunks and I wasn't into gore at that time.

Okay, I saw the anime before I read the series. Hoestly, the anime seemed forced to me from episode one.
