modern-day tracking devices could just be found by looking physically through stuff, that a "device" was in their car but not on any of them and they weren't being tracked via bank accounts, cell phones, hotel registries, PHYSICAL SIGHTINGS, etc. And after seeing them appear at Jonas' house and NOT do anything, they obviously aren't trying to kidnap her right now.
