am i right in thinking in the movie burger king had built a resturant right near what was Doc's lab, it would have been on his land?

If you watch the opening scene in the lab, there is a newspaper on the wall saying, that the mansion (seen in the 1950s) has burnt down and Doc had to sell parts of his land to developers... That's why, he lives in his garage in 1985 and there is a Burger King right next to it. In reality, there is no garage there. The facade has been installed next to the BK just for the filming of the scenes.
