Very nice and balance discussion. I totally agree that this topic should be discuss openly in American media and school campuses. For all these years it seems that this the case of a mischievous Elephant in a living room and no one notices and complaining about it.

One thing I would point out is that Meirsheimer and Walt in their thesis do make passing reference to the Jewish intellectual roots of neo-conservatism, which you might argue forms the real nexus between the lobby and U.S foreign policy.
