that's because many other bites aren't recorded, because the media only cares about a good story. oh, and by the way, in the american kennel clubs tempermant test, 89% of pitbulls passed, while only 75% of golden retrievers passed. who should we ban now?

@RAIDERS58th Pit bulls are like any other dog. They are loving and sweet and they can attack sometimes. That is their owners fault. Some people train their dogs to be aggresive. The real problem is the ignorent people who buy Pits and abuse them.

So I know this is five years old but, I HATE when people saw they hate Pit Bulls or any other "agressive" dog. My uncle bought a pit about four years ago her previous owners tried fighting her and abused her. He now has a two year old daughter that also LOVES that dog. She has never once tried to harm anyone. She growls when people come to the house but she is only protecting HER family. People are now trying to ban them from Michigan. Yeah they can turn on you but so can ANY other animal.

@Raiders558th: You may only see the bad in these loving animals but that's only because you have never had the opportunity to own one and raise it properly. I was once a pitbull hater because 2 of them attacked my jack russell terrier and almost killed him, but I realize now that it was because of how the stupid owner raised the 2 females pits. He took the blame for it and had them put down...I am now a very proud pitbull owner and I could not imagine my life without my pitbull.

How about banning both shit bulls and ignorance of their naturally vicious nature. I think banning both will save the lives and faces of thousands of people across the globe. @icestripe33 No, a naturally vicious breed of dog, frequently purchased as a weapon of intimidation and death is deliberately taken to the junction of 2 narrow allies in order to ambush and possibly kill a person, dog or both at the same time. I think that's what you meant to say. Because that's what I see every day when I take my Clumber Spaniel for a walk. Typical shit bull and shit bull owner behavior. So yes, this dangerous, criminal attracting breed MUST pay; with their lives!
