GTHD glitch on broken ps3

after freezing on Resistance, my ps3's hard drive is now out for the count. it still boots up and works fine until a game is loaded. resistance no longer gets past the main menu screen, motorstorm and F1 demos do not boot, and Gran Turismo HD.... well just look for yourself.

(sorry for the terrible camera work and us being idiots in the background...)


*UPDATE* since posting these videos, Sony has replaced my broken ps3 with a brand new one that has been perfect to date. it cost me no money and took a total of about 3 days to get the new unit in my hands. also, it was the GPU that got messed up, not the hard drive like i initially thought.

Man, we got a ps3 a few days ago, played it for 2 days, shut it off today, turned it back on, and ......a screen comes up saying theres a corrupt hard drive, so it asks me to restore, click ok... it "restores" then it shuts down, restarts and the exact same screen comes up telling us to restore......WHAT CAN I DO...and will sony give me a new ps3?

call Sony and tell them about your problem. they should help you plenty. maybe they can help you figure out how to get your current one working properly.

As for PS3, it has around about 90 videos, as someone said. Over half the videos that 360 has, yet PS3 has only been out for around 2-3 months? Sorry, but looking at the stats, 360 is actually doing well for breakdowns compared to other consoles.

i used the number of results on YouTube as just one example. it is not the be-all, end-all. i guess you haven't been hearing the stories like Microsoft not having enough 360 "coffins" to send out to people, so they can ship their broken 360s back?

now before you go saying im a fucking fan boy, fuck off. i own a Xbox 360, Wii, and a PS3. my xbox 360 hasn't broken down since i got it on launch day, neither has my wii, but my PS3 has already broken down once.

So use your fucking heads guys,lol. cant wait to see how many people complain about this,lol.

the 360 in my house has been going fine since about August '06. but what you have to compare is the news about 360 and ps3 breakdowns from around the equivalent times. right after the 360 came out, there were MANY reports of problems, even a class action lawsuit only months after. at the equivalent point in time for the ps3, there have not been nearly as many reports of problems. just look at what was posted today on Joystiq about MS not having enough boxes for broken 360's.

or maybe it's because the CappucinO has 60 HP and it's not that fast as any other Gran Turismo vehicles. GT HD is an addicting game and I played it on the demo and loved it, cause I own the PS3

omggg my ps3 also broke down.. it doesnt read any discs no more... its a few weeks old and i played it for like 5 times 1 to 3 hours max. I payed 600 euro (thats almost 800 dollar guys) im so pissed off right now..

wow did that to me untill the 3.1.3 patch. at least you can swap the hard drive; mine is totally bricked (nand flash fault (red screen))
